Compass claims seven Contract Catering Awards

Compass Group led the way at last night’s Contract Catering Awards, walking away with a magnificent seven trophies in total.

Compass Group led the way at last night’s Contract Catering Awards, walking away with a magnificent seven trophies in total. Its Blue Apple brand claimed two with the other five going to CH&CO, Compass Group, ESS, Eurest and Restaurant Associates.

Elior and Nourish Contract Catering also had much to celebrate, taking home two awards each. The former claimed the CSR and Marketing gongs, the latter prevailing in Education and Senior Executive of the Year. The remaining three accolades were shared between Impact Food Group, Mitie and Shire Services.

Maddie Dowdy of Eurest and Endang Gonzalez of Blue Apple Catering marked themselves out as ones to watch, being named the Rising Star and the Unit Hero of the Year respectively. An evening of great celebration for the industry ended with a man who has done so much to champion young talent, Vic Laws MBE, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The 13^th edition of our annual awards was held at the at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge and was hosted, as ever, by the incomparable Mark Durden-Smith. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the attendees, £3,400 was raised for the Burnt Chef Project charity.

The event was sponsored by Bidfood, Café Direct, Carlsberg Britvic, Core Recruitment, Essential Cuisine, General Mills, Lolly, Middleton Foods, Options Greathire, Restaurant Design Associates, Scrocchiarella, Starbucks Chilled Coffee, The Vending and Automatic Retail Association, Unox and We Love Cake.
