Bridor reveals new croissant research
Bridor recently launched the Croissant Revolution.

Bridor recently launched the Croissant Revolution. The new guide highlights the sizable sales opportunity that the classic French pastry offers the hospitality sector at all times of day, backed by new consumer research.
It reveals that some 93% of croissant buyers eat them at least once a week. Over half (55%) of Brits consume them up to twice a week, while 23% enjoy the flaky goodness three to four times a week.
Croissants are an impressive first choice for 95% of consumers when choosing a pastry, and 88% state that the quality of croissants strongly influences their overall perception of an establishment. The research also found that, while breakfast is the most popular consumption occasion according to 83% of people, there are a notable number of consumers who choose them as an afternoon snack or an accompaniment to a coffee break.
'Valuable consumer insight'
Erwan Inizan, northern Europe sales director for Bridor, said: “Our new guide shares valuable consumer insight to help operators understand the market and increase their croissant sales. Of course, a great-tasting and visually enticing croissant is fundamental to any Viennese pastry offering. Once this is in place, we firmly believe that hotels, cafés and bakeries can join the ‘Croissant Revolution’ and see the benefits of offering a mix of sweet and savoury options.”
