The return of the StrEATfood Awards!

The prestigious event will be returning to Big Penny Social in north London on 8th October.

We will be holding our annual StrEATfood Awards for the eighth time, giving contract catering chefs the chance to demonstrate their street food skills. The prestigious event will be returning to Big Penny Social in north London on 8th October.

The awards are open to the industry only, with interested parties just needing to submit their signature street food dishes for our panel of expert judges. They are completely free to enter and there will be a number of other culinary challenges held on the day for the 16 selected finalists.

We may have hosted this event seven times previously, but it is still capable of throwing up surprises. Last year, the overall winner, Michael Broad of Fooditude, also managed to purloin Plant Based Dish of the Year. And even more remarkably, the victor of the remaining Chef of the Year title went to an entrant who originally trained as a barista.

'Something that I'm super proud of''
On winning, a clearly delight Broad told us: “There has been some fantastic competition today and we've seen some tremendous dishes. I feel elated to be stepping up against the big boys. I've only been in my current role for about nine months, so this is something that I'm super proud of. I'm over the moon!”

To enter our exciting culinary cook-off, sponsored by Conglom and Major, go to streatfoodawards.co.uk armed with your signature street food dish. The deadline is 25th July. Good luck!
