Impact acquires Dolce

The terms of the transaction are undisclosed.

Impact Food Group (IFG) has announced the acquisition of the family-founded Dolce. The terms of the transaction are undisclosed.

IFG says that the move cements its position as one of the market leaders in education catering, now serving over 1,500 schools and 1m students every day. This expanded reach will enable IFG to deliver positive results at scale, supporting schools of all types – from primary and secondary to independent – with tailored, chef-led food experiences.

Dolce will continue to operate as a stand-alone brand within IFG, with its co-founders Scott and Adam Curtis remaining at the helm and joining the IFG senior leadership team. The aim is to ensure continuity for clients, suppliers and employees, while also opening up new opportunities for collaboration, training and development across the group.

'Thrilled to join forces'
Richard Taylor, chief executive officer of IFG, said: “We’re thrilled to join forces with a partner that shares our passion for transforming student outcomes through nutritious and vibrant food experiences. Together, we will combine our strengths to deliver exceptional service to our clients, enhance student wellbeing and preserve the unique cultures that define both our organisations.”

Scott Curtis added: “Joining the IFG family is an exciting next step, one that allows us to stay true to who we are while being part of a wider organisation that shares our passion and purpose. Together, we’ll keep doing what we do best: delivering great food, nurturing our people and making a real difference in schools across the country.”
