Houston & Hawkes funds 50,000 Magic breakfasts

Houston & Hawkes has now funded some 50,000 school breakfasts through its partnership with Magic Breakfast since partnering with the charity in January 2024, supporting children across the UK who are at risk of starting the school day hungry.

Magic Breakfast provides nutritious breakfasts to schoolchildren in need, helping to improve their concentration, wellbeing and learning. Pupils receive items such as bagels, bread, porridge and milk, which are provided through a variety of formats, including breakfast clubs and grab-and-go options.

The partnership with Magic Breakfast forms a core part of Houston & Hawkes’ commitment to social value and community impact. The funding comes from a mix of direct donations by the caterer through a coffee contribution scheme as well as funds raised through workplace engagement initiatives across client sites.

'Build on this milestone'
Simon Houston, co-founder of Houston & Hawkes, said: “Partnering with Magic Breakfast allows us to support a cause that aligns closely with our values. We’re determined to build on this milestone and, working with our clients, aim to fund a further 30,000 school breakfasts by the end of 2026.”

Ali Roberts, head of corporate partnerships for Magic Breakfast, added: “A nourishing breakfast helps ensure that children and young people have the fuel they need to learn and thrive. Thank you to the whole team at Houston & Hawkes, your support is so appreciated.”
