For three decades, Central Foods has been part of the backbone of British foodservice. On 26th March 2026, we proudly mark 30 years of trading – a milestone shaped by the wholesalers and contract caterers who continue to trust our proven brands every day.
Founded in 1996 with a clear focus on frozen food distribution to the UK foodservice market, we have grown alongside the sector. From contract caterers serving hospitals, schools, business and industry, to hospitality and leisure venues feeding millions, our objective has remained the same; delivering reliable, compliant and commercially smart food solutions to our wholesale customers through our mixed pallet consolidation offering.
Over the years, our portfolio has evolved to reflect changing menus and rising costs. Today, we offer an extensive range spanning meat, poultry, vegetarian, vegan and free-from lines, alongside buffet, bakery and dessert categories – helping caterers balance quality, cost control and consistency at scale.
Our Central Foods own brands consisting of KaterVeg!, KaterBake, Menuserve and Golden Valley Foods are trusted by wholesalers to help unlock menu ideas for contract caterers all year round.
As consumer preferences shift, and allergen awareness sharpens, we continue to work closely with manufacturers and wholesalers to ensure robust standards, clear labelling and reliable supply chains that meet the needs of modern contract catering. This is reflected in Central Foods recently achieving the BRCGS Agents & Brokers AA Certification for the ninth year in a row.
