Compass to speak at Arena Xmas event

Morag Freathy, managing director – B&I for Compass Group UK, has been added to the speaker line-up for the Arena Christmas Event. The annual soiree will be held at the stunning Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park on 12th December.

Freathy heads up the division that is responsible for Eurest and 14Forty, Compass’s specialist workplace catering and facilities management businesses. She worked for a number of top brands on the high street prior to joining Compass 10 years ago.

Freathy will take to the stage alongside fellow panellist Zoe Bowley, managing director of PizzaExpress, in a panel discussion hosted by Peter Martin, founder and executive director of Peach2020. She will discuss Compass’s approach to the future of food in the workplace, responding to ever-changing consumers’ needs, their increased focus on health, wellbeing and sustainability, and more.

Also speaking at the event, in the morning panel discussion hosted by hospitality strategist Ann Elliott, will be Simon Houston, founder of Houston and Hawkes, Stasi Nychas, co-founder and chief operating officer of Neat Burger, and Sam Hagger, founder of The Beautiful Pubs Collective. The panel will share their vision for growth while overcoming the sector’s current challenges.

The first Arena event of 2023, Sustainability – Leading the Way in Hospitality and Foodservice, meanwhile, will be held at Revolve in London on 24th January. The speakers will include Mike Hanson, director of sustainable business for WSH.
