Compass One has acquired the provider of quality food and beverages within healthcare environments.

Compass One has acquired Peabodys Coffee, the provider of quality food and beverages within healthcare environments. Led by managing director Claudia Mascino, the latter started its journey in 1997 in London hospitals. It currently operates in 10 sites within the NHS across England, employing 55 people.

Recognised for its strong sustainability ethos, fairtrade organic coffee and artisan food offer, the acquisition will support Peabodys’ growth, with plans to launch new cafés at seven hospital sites in the coming months. The brand is popular with NHS staff, as well as with visitors and patients.

'A fantastic reputation'
Mark Webster, chief executive officer of Compass One, said: “With a fantastic reputation for great coffee and food, along with an unwavering commitment to sustainability, Peabodys Coffee possesses strong and admirable values that align with our own. We are excited about the opportunity to support their growth, bringing Peabodys to many more NHS sites in the future.”

Mascino added: “Our values around sustainability, great food and coffee are entrenched in our business and are what make us special. I am passionate about supporting our NHS and am delighted to be able to grow and invest further in our business.”
