Mark Grant MIH has been appointed chair of the Institute of Hospitality’s DEIB council.

Mark Grant MIH has been appointed chair of the Institute of Hospitality’s diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB) council. He previously took the essence of hospitality into managing business spaces in central London before becoming sales director for ep&t global.

Robert Richardson FIH MI, the Institute’s chief executive officer, said: “Having worked with Mark many years ago, I know he is an excellent people manager, possessing a rare ability to coach and guide. I am confident his results-driven approach will help push the Institute’s DEIB Council forward.”

'Years of experience'
Grant added: “I have years of experience in the hospitality sector, both directly and indirectly, and I am passionate about people and the power a collective group can make, both in influencing decisions and making things happen. I adopted the fundamental approach of DEIB many years ago, and I am honoured and excited to bring my skills and experience to my fellow council members, the Institute and the wider hospitality industry.”
