Restaurant Associates acquires Grazing
The Grazing team will continue to be headed up by Sam Hurst.
Restaurant Associates has announced that it has acquired Grazing. Through the support of Compass Group UK&I’s premium hospitality brand, the delivered-in workplace and venue catering specialist says it will be able to build on what has been a remarkable year of growth.
Founded in 2007 by chief executive officer Sam Hurst, Grazing has grown from one café to a corporate catering business offering delivered-in meeting, office and contract catering services to London’s business and industry sector, as well as event catering services. The Grazing team will continue to be headed up by Hurst, supported by chef director Sebastian Price and the existing management team.
In the last year, the company’s delivered-in model has seen more than 30% growth, with key wins across the capital. Dishes are prepared at its Bermondsey kitchen hub and 90% of deliveries are made on zero emission cargo bikes.
'Immediate synergies'
Hurst said: “As a progressive business, we have always looked at how we can continue to grow and enhance our services. When we were approached by Restaurant Associates, we saw some immediate synergies. Their relentless pursuit for quality, alongside their firm belief in developing strong teams through investment in people and the environmental commitments, made them the perfect partner to help us take our business to the next level.”
Matt Thomas, CEO of Restaurant Associates Group, added: "Grazing’s innovative approach to delivered-in catering, coupled with their commitment to sustainability, aligns perfectly with our vision. This partnership will allow us to enhance our service offerings, leveraging Grazing’s unique model and expertise to provide exceptional culinary experiences to our clients.”
