Freemans’ Food Village at Lord’s wins award
Freemans Event Partners and Marylebone Cricket Club have won a Business of Cricket Award.
Freemans Event Partners and Marylebone Cricket Club, the owner of Lord’s Cricket Ground, have won a Business of Cricket Award. The Food Village – a brand-new, two-tier, permanent structure, kitted out with self-service kiosks and a wide range of food and drink options – was named Best New Development winner at the recent Business of Cricket Awards.
The development, led by Freemans, ensures that spectators have a world-class foodservice experience, with high-quality grab-and-go food on offer and lower queue times. When compared to previous test matches, queue times were cut in half during this summer’s season.
'A fantastic project'
Stephen Freeman, chief executive officer of Freemans Event Partners, said: “The Food Village at Lord’s has been a fantastic project, and this recognition is huge testament to the team who have worked tirelessly to design, develop and build the structure. We look forward to working with Lord’s, and our other stadia partners, to develop the consumer offer and ensure that together we are delivering the very best matchday experience possible.”
