New ambassadors for Maple From Canada
Maple from Canada UK has appointed three new ambassadors.
Maple from Canada UK has appointed three new ambassadors. They are Neil Rippington, international director for global education for the International Institute of Hotel Management; Thom Bateman, chef owner of casual fine dining restaurant The Flintlock; and Julie Lin, chef owner of the Malaysian-inspired Ga Ga Kitchen and Bar in Glasgow.
The trio will be using their extensive culinary knowledge to create new content, identifying pure Canadian maple syrup as a key ingredient. Rippington will be creating educational material to assist culinary students in becoming familiar with the ingredient, while Bateman and Lin will be creating consumer-friendly recipes for the Maple from Canada UK website.
'Fact-finding tour to Montreal'
David Marino, director of promotions for Maple from Canada UK and Australia, said: “We were delighted to recently host the three new UK Maple ambassadors on a fact-finding tour to Montreal, where they were able to meet several producers and gain a real insight into how pure Canadian maple syrup is produced naturally. We are very much looking forward to working with Neil, Thom and Julie.”
